IPTV refers to Internet-based Protocol Television where internet is used to deliver TV programs & Videos that are either live or on demand. To stream properly, an internet connection with a download speed of at least 20 mbps is recommended. To start, a device is needed; a 4k Firestick, Android boxes with at least 4GB RAM and 32GB ROM (non rockchip or RK), Android phones or tablets or directly online. The use of smart tv’s are not recommended as they lack the RAM and ROM needed to stream without issues, and iPhones and iPads are tricky as Apple restricts the use of many of the apps, but can be done. 

The device requires an app to stream the service, common apps include IPTV Smarters, XCIPTV, Tivimate , STB EMU, and Purple Player. Here at Darwin Streams we offer a private branded app that can be downloaded on all android devices as well as on all Amazon devices.  It is also recommended that customers purchase a VPN. Common VPN apps are NORDVPN, IP Vanish, ExpressVPN, and Surf Shark to name a few. This app/program redirects your internet signal to a chosen city/country of your choosing. This is helpful if your internet providers signal is causing interference with our signal. This happens at times during large sporting events, like the World Cup, the Olympics, playoff NHL and MLB and during other large events. This is done on purpose by some providers, namely AT&T in the States, and Bell, Cogeco and Rogers in Canada. The VPN allows you to route your signal to a different country which bypasses these issues. The cost for these apps/programs fluctuates depending on the company, and should be researched by the customer to get accurate information.
